This course is suitable for Group B practitioners who have a particular responsibility for the people they work with and therefore require a higher level of knowledge than those in Group A. Group B practitioners work with people who may or may not have safeguarding concerns, but do not participate in protection planning or sit on core groups and are not expected to give safeguarding advice to others. Group B practitioners will be aware of their responsibility to report concerns and there will be a clear line of reporting they are expected to follow.
