This interactive full-day programme provides a deeper, practical and research-informed exploration of AI literacy, AI-related safeguarding risks and child-centred, preventative and trauma-informed professional concerns. Participants will take part in discussions, case studies, reflective activities and scenario-based learning to support safer conversations and professional practice

The Duty To Report (Form) Masterclasses are designed to upskill Group B and C practitioners who have never received any formal training on how to complete a DTR (previously MARF for children) for a suspected adult at risk.

This course is suitable for Designated Safeguarding Person/s (DSP’s) and those who take a more prominent role in safeguarding decisions within their own setting, including those with an active role in participating in multi-agency safeguarding and child protection meetings.

A session on understanding expected developmental healthy behaviours and inappropriate behaviour, how they can cause sexual harm or increase a child’s vulnerability, and effective ways of engaging children and young people to speak about possible abuse or harmful sexual behaviour.

To raise awareness of the National Referral Mechanism (NRM) and how children and young people can be vulnerable to exploitation, Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking.

This course is suitable for Group B practitioners who have a particular responsibility for the people they work with and therefore require a higher level of knowledge than those in Group A. Group B practitioners work with people who may or may not have safeguarding concerns, but do not participate in protection planning or sit on core groups and are not expected to give safeguarding advice to others. Group B practitioners will be aware of their responsibility to report concerns and there will be a clear line of reporting they are expected to follow.

Too often, systems focus on what’s going wrong. This course reframes support around resilience, relationships, and young people’s own capacities for change. Learn how to work relationally while still managing risk effectively.

This course has been designed to develop practitioner understanding of complex neglect (where children and young people are exposed to multiple typologies of neglect). Learners will develop a deeper understanding of the factors that underpin neglect and skills to prevent it.

This is a session on issues of internet safety and protecting children and young people from abuse online including the impact on teenage brain development and mental health, an overview of the law in Wales and how to access help and support.
