Spot the Signs – Exploited Children and Young People (12/06/2024)

Target Audience:

All multi agency practitioners (registered/regulated or not) including volunteer roles, who have regular contact with adults, children and members of the public in their roles

Aim:

Raise awareness on how to recognise signs and indicators of exploitation, and how to respond in the most focused and effective way to keep children and young people safe.

Training Objectives: - By the end of this session, participants will be able to: –

• Define exploitation and its different forms
• Develop an understanding of the grooming process involved in exploitation.
• Critically discuss the impact of exploitation – immediate, short and long term.
• Understand your roles and responsibilities in preventing, identifying, reducing and disrupting exploitation.
• Be aware of local support services and how to sign post
