This course seeks to provide a deeper dive into Child Criminal Exploitation and to dispel some of the myths and misconceptions that prevent practitioners from spotting the signs and responding in a way that ensures that children are seen as victims of child abuse, exploitation and modern slavery. This course examines models of CCE, and the intersect that can commonly be found between criminal and sexual exploitation, whilst exploring the impact of media framing, adultification and gender bias on identification and response.
The session will also consider the multi-agency risk assessment tool (CEMT) used in Gwent currently.

This learning is ideal and essential for practitioners from any sector who attend multi agency Exploitation Strategy Meetings in Gwent, and those seeking to expand their knowledge and awareness of this pervasive and incredibly complex issue.

This course has been designed to be support practitioners from statutory and non-statutory sectors who work in front facing roles with children, adults, and families.
