These events aim to provide an opportunity for the sharing of information relating to various safeguarding issues and topics and are intended for staff and volunteers within the Gwent region.
The theme this year is Improving Practice: Learning from Reviews and presentations will draw on key themes identified in the Care Inspectorate Wales Rapid Review of Child Protection Arrangements, the National Independent Safeguarding Board Wales thematic analysis of Child Practice Reviews, and regional Adult and Child Practice Reviews.
Presentations will include:
- Children’s DTR Threshold Document;
- Working with Risk;
- Single Unified Safeguarding Review;
- Transitional Safeguarding;
- Hoarding and self neglect;
- Voice of the Child and Lived Experiences.
