Professional Curiosity
Over recent years the phrase ‘professional curiosity’ has become something of a buzzword. Safeguarding professionals have been exhorted to be more curious or criticised for not being curious enough. This session will explore the notion of professional curiosity and focus on:

- Why is it important and how does it link to effective safeguarding
- What inhibits professional curiosity
- What are the components of professional curiosity
- What, therefore, are the essential pre-conditions for professional curiosity to flourish in safeguarding systems and practice
