National Action Plan Preventing and Responding to Child Sexual Abuse
The National Action Plan (the ‘Plan’) considers Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) including Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) and Harmful Sexual Behaviour (HSB). Looking forward this National Action Plan will assist in assessing the implementation of forthcoming statutory guidance, Working Together to Safeguard People- Volume 7- Safeguarding children from Child Sexual Exploitation and the All Wales Practice Guides on CSE and HSB once issued by the Safeguarding Boards with the Wales Safeguarding Procedures.
The National Action Plan is based around 10 objectives that each have actions for both Welsh Government and Regional Safeguarding Boards to respond to. Within the action plan there are helpful links to provide opportunities for learning, sharing knowledge along with signposting to topic specific services.
