This session provides an accessible introduction to adolescent brain development, identity formation, and behaviour. Participants will explore how developmental theory connects to real-world practice with young people at risk of child exploitation.
You will learn to:
- Understand key milestones in adolescent cognitive and emotional development
- Recognise how trauma, relationships and environment impact decision-making
- Adjust communication and intervention strategies accordingly
- Apply developmentally attuned responses in child exploitation
